Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Dharmpal Singh dedicated 5 new air-conditioned vehicles to the department under the Multipurpose Mobile Veterinary Services (State Scheme) operated in the state at a program organized at the Animal Husbandry Directorate here.
On this occasion, he also released the Uttar Pradesh Animal Products 2023 booklet. Singh said that the work of protection and promotion of livestock is very important. All the necessary assistance for livestock should be made available to the livestock farmers in time.
Addressing the program, Singh said that the five new multipurpose mobile medical vehicles dedicated to the department will be able to do intensive monitoring of various schemes operated at the regional level like animal vaccination, artificial insemination, poultry farming, small animal development, livestock insurance, mobile veterinary units as well as destitute cow protection program.
Programs operated to make the livestock farmers economically capable like goat rearing, sheep rearing, poultry farming etc. can be monitored.
The Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister said that with the availability of new vehicles, efforts should be made to directly benefit the programs run by the Animal Husbandry Department.
Efforts will be made to make additional arrangements for new vehicles in the current year as well. Various types of works like treatment, medicine, welfare of animals are being performed by the vehicles operated under the Multipurpose Mobile Veterinary Services (State Scheme) in the Animal Husbandry Department.
Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Devendra Pandey, Special Secretary Amarnath Upadhyay, Director, Administration and Development of Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Raghunath Singh, Director Disease Control and Field Dr. P.N. Singh, Executive Officer of LDB Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Dr. Neelam Bala and Additional Director Dr. A.K. Verma were present in the program.
